About Vancouver Coins, Stamps & Collectables Show

The Vancouver Coins, Stamps & Collectables Show is a recurring regional show staged by the North Shore Numismatic Society in Burnaby, in Greater Vancouver. The society runs several shows a year at the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre, making it unusually frequent among Canadian numismatic clubs.

With over 50 tables, the show spans coins, stamps, banknotes, tokens, medals, postcards and collectibles, and its proceeds support local charities.

History

The North Shore Numismatic Society held its first coin show in 1975, in a church hall during a two-day rainstorm, and has run it ever since — growing to multiple editions a year and settling at the Nikkei Centre from 2015. The society itself traces to a North Shore coin club referenced in 1960 and renamed in 1961.

What to Expect

Expect 40 to 50-plus dealer tables (more at the joint show with the postcard club) for buying, selling and trading coins, stamps, banknotes, tokens, medals and collectibles, with free coins for children, free appraisals, and consignment representatives from major auction houses. Admission is low and free for under-16s.
