The Calgary Coin Show is a twice-yearly coin and money fair presented by the Calgary Numismatic Society, one of Alberta's longest-running numismatic organizations. The society runs a spring and a fall show, recently at the DoubleTree by Hilton Calgary North.
The bourse offers coins, paper money and medals from dealers across Canada, with a youth table, door prizes and an emphasis on the educational, club-run character of the event.
The Calgary Numismatic Society held its first show — the Western Coin Round-Up — in 1958, and has run one- and two-day coin shows nearly every year since. Organized numismatics in Calgary traces back to the late 1940s and early 1950s; the club adopted the name Calgary Numismatic Society in 1969. The society hosted the national Royal Canadian Numismatic Association convention in 2019.
Expect more than 50 dealer tables with dealers from across Canada buying, selling and trading coins, paper money and medals, plus a youth booth, hourly door prizes, a modest admission (free for children) and free parking.
