About Holland Coin Fair

The Holland Coin Fair is an annual Dutch coin fair held each February, organized by the Stichting Bevordering Numismatiek (Foundation for the Advancement of Numismatics) in association with the NVMH, the Dutch association of coin dealers. Recent editions have been held at the Van der Valk Hotel Delft A4 near Delft.

It brings together Dutch and international dealers in coins, medals and banknotes, alongside the Royal Dutch Mint, and issues an annual themed commemorative coincard.

History

The fair is a long-established fixture on the Dutch numismatic calendar; earlier editions were held in the The Hague area (Leidschendam) before the move to Delft. Holland Coin Fair commemorative coincards have appeared under the fair's name from at least 1992 onward, though the fair's founding year is not stated by available sources.

What to Expect

Expect a one-day Saturday fair with Dutch and international coin, medal and banknote dealers and the Royal Dutch Mint, a low admission fee, free parking, the annual themed coincard, and coin-identification help from collector societies at the entrance.
