The Central States Numismatic Society Convention is one of the largest and most important coin shows in the U.S. Midwest, held each spring at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center in Schaumburg, Illinois. It regularly fills its bourse with several hundred dealers and is anchored by a major official auction.
As the annual convention of the Central States Numismatic Society, it combines a national-scale marketplace with society exhibits, educational programs and U.S. Mint participation.
The Central States Numismatic Society was formed at its first convention, held in April 1939 in Chicago, when delegates from a multi-state region organised the society. Its annual spring convention has since grown into one of the Midwest's premier numismatic gatherings.
Expect a large dealer bourse, a major official auction covering U.S., world and ancient material, museum-grade exhibits, and educational programming. Recent conventions have featured U.S. Mint officials and special displays of historic rarities.
