The World's Fair of Money is the American Numismatic Association's flagship convention and traditionally the largest numismatic bourse of the year in the United States. Held each summer, it gathers hundreds of dealers, the major auction houses, grading services and world mints under one roof, with the bourse floor ranging from several hundred to well over a thousand dealer tables depending on the host city.
For collectors it is the marquee U.S. gathering — a week of buying and selling, major auctions, society meetings, educational programming and exhibits drawn from the ANA's own collection and from private cabinets.
The American Numismatic Association traces its conventions to its founding gathering in 1891 and has held an annual convention for well over a century. The summer flagship is today branded the World's Fair of Money, the larger of the ANA's two yearly conventions.
Expect an expansive bourse of U.S. and world dealers, official-auctioneer sales running alongside the show, and exhibits by national and private mints. The convention also hosts the ANA's educational schedule — lectures, Young Numismatist programs and competitive exhibits — making it as much a learning event as a marketplace.
